The University of Arizona Cooperative Extension, Yavapai County provides information and educational programs for home horticulture enthusiasts as well as commercial nurseries and landscaping professionals. The Yavapai County Master Gardener program teaches interested citizens to become valuable horticultural volunteers in their communities. Free workshops will be held May 12 in Prescott and on June 9th in Cottonwood. There will be three presentations to help participants learn the basics of designing both passive and active rainwater harvesting systems. Participants will be able calculate rainwater yields and how to size the collection system accordingly.
