The Water Resources Program in Maricopa County seeks to educate youth and adults about their water resources. We share information and conduct educational activities to help the people of Maricopa County increase their knowledge about where their water comes from, the importance of water efficiency, water quality, and other water topics. Central Arizona is a desert and life as we know it is made possible by the existence of water. There is so much to learn and we can all contribute to maintaining the quality of life here in Maricopa County by being aware of our actions and the impact we have on our water resources.
Cooperative Extension is the outreach arm of The University of Arizona. The Maricopa County office is located in Phoenix and offers a number of programs that enhance the lives of people and communities in Maricopa County through education, research, engagement, and creativity.
