Good morning!
Attached is the information for our upcoming fruit tree workshop, January 14th in York Valley.
A BIG thank you to Buzz and Marilyn, the host and hostess with the most and mostest. This is the 3rd year they have opened up their home orchard for this class.
Weather forecast is pleasant, but do dress to be outdoors. You are welcome to bring your own tools (including gloves) for the adjustment and sharpening portion of the class, having your tools in good shape is just as important as knowing where to cut. There will also be opportunity to do some pruning with guidance if you want.
Besides the actual pruning, we will demonstrate how to apply fertilizer and spray with a nontoxic dormant oil, which will get the trees off to a good start for the year.
Bring a sack lunch, we will be taking a break to eat, socialize and discuss garden subjects.
