I am the Water Resources Extension Agent for Maricopa County. I work in both urban and rural areas conducting outreach in coordination with water resources staff and volunteers based in our office. My program areas include watershed protection, outdoor water conservation, drought, urban runoff, water quality, and groundwater conservation. Some programs such as the Maricopa County Master Watershed Steward Program are coordinated throughout the State whereas others are unique to our county. I am proud that the Smartscape program for landscape professionals is now offered through our office in cooperation with the Arizona Municipal Water User's Association. Maricopa County offers continuous opportunities and challenges with respect to water resources programming.
