Cooperative Extension is educators who help people solve problems and put knowledge to use. Extension provides a link between the University of Arizona and Coconino County residents. We teach: in classes, seminars, and workshops; public presentations; with newspaper columns; on the telephone; on the Web and through research-based publications.
The University of Arizona Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Program gardeners contribute voluntary community service hours to herbariums that link into the Southwest Environmental Information Network (SEINet) databases. This treasure of photos and information about local plants can be accessed by anyone and is organized around location and then plant species.
