Public Speaking

Communications skills are a key element of the 4-H experience, and in this project you will learn tips for being a better public speaker.  You will learn how to make public presentations to large and small groups, and teach others through demonstrations and illustrated talks.  In all 3 levels of this project, you will develop important skills and have fun learning about such things as encrypting codes, writing songs, giving directions, presenting oral reasons, planning and presenting speeches, interviewing for a job, writing resumes, communicating assertively, making a good first impression and much more.  You must complete at least seven activities in each book and participate in at least three additional learning experiences (such as going on a tour, giving a demonstration, exhibiting) per level to complete this project.
