Through three manuals you will learn a series of skills. You begin learning equipment basics, concepts of lighting and flash, photo composition and how to sequence and evaluate photos. Then explore depth of field, aperture and shutter speeds, hard and soft lighting, silhouettes and flash techniques. Finally, you will learn how to use wide-angle and telephoto lenses, filters and special film, light meters, and shoot photos with different light sources. The project guidelines include completing the Project Planning Guide of each level, steps one through four. Then take part in at least two organized project experiences and become involved in at least two Leadership/Citizenship Activities.
