Shooting Sports Education State Match

Arizona 4-H Shooting Sports Education Logo image

State Matches are for those who can safely and independently participate, especially those who have successfully competed at a county shooting match. The state match is not for new shooters.  The state match is held as early as possible in the 4-H year to give the maximum amount of time for 4-H members attending the National Invitational to prepare. This can put 4-H members who have just changed age categories (sub-junior to junior or junior to senior) in a position of not having adequate preparation for the course of fire for their new age category. To alleviate this situation, members who have changed age categories can choose which age category they wish to compete in.

The exception to this is new seniors who are working to earn a place on the Arizona team for the national invitational, who must compete as seniors.

Date: December 5 - 7 for all disciplines except Muzzleloading on **January 17, 2015 (REVISED)

Location: Southeast Regional Park Shooting Range, 12996 S Harrison Rd, Tucson, AZ
