“…for my club, my community, my county, and my world.” The 4-H pledge celebrates the importance of connecting to the rest of the world. The well-being of our planet depends on improved cultural understanding and global connections. The world is growing smaller, and the more we can help all young people in all countries to experience other cultures, the better off the world will be.
Inbound Programs - Hosting Opportunities
Delegates come to the United States for one month every summer. They come to experience the everyday life of families around the country. Host families must have children within two years of age as the delegate they host. No special activities are necessary as the exchange emphasizes friendship and learning culture through exposure, not sightseeing. Delegates travel with chaperones who stay in-state for the duration of the exchange. Delegates have their own spending money and health insurance
